Dec. 19. The Cornelius Town Board will conduct their final regular meeting for of 2022 tonight. The commissioners are expected to finalize the legislative agenda for 2023 at that time.

The Town adopts a legislative agenda every year to identify state and local priorities. Elected officials and staff use them to communicate with our state representatives and other stakeholder entities “on matters that have a significant and tangible impact on the Cornelius community,” said Town Manager Andrew Grant.

The agenda for 2023, which the board has been refining for several months, includes accelerating and/or maintaining state funding for various transportation and road improvements in the town, as well as $4 million in state money to be used for affordable housing.
