Float it Forward: Donation of life rings at YMCA

Jan. 10. By Dave Yochum. Members of the Float it Forward lake safety effort donated life rings to the lakefront YMCA in Cornelius as part of their effort to install life rings on every dock.

Elise Redmond, a Cornelius Realtor, and her son Cade, say that the life rings can save lives.

Indeed, they were nearby when a father of two drowned near a dock in Cornelius this past October. Someone who jumped in said a life ring could have saved the man.
