June is heating up with events around Lake Norman

June 3

Music Bingo

Music Bingo With Seabrooks.  7- 9 pm. Doors open at 4pm. BoatYard Lake Norman, 18418 Statesville Rd. 

June 4

Live Under the Oaks

Mellon Belly performing live music. 6-8 pm. Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Uncorked & Artsy

June 4: Wine and beer tastings at Downtown Mooresville businesses

6-9pm. Features wine and beer tastings at Downtown Mooresville businesses. Regional artists also display and sell their works along Broad and  Main streets. Live music, in-tandem specials, and light appetizers are also served both inside of businesses and outside on the sidewalks.

Tickets are $25 per person and include tastings and a souvenir Downtown Uncorked & Artsy glass. The art and live music performances are free to attend. A portion of the proceeds benefits Mooresville Arts.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online, and in-person at the following businesses: 202 North Main Fine Wines, Spirits & Music Room, Four Corners Framing & Gallery, Mooresville Arts, and Southern Notions, or at the event gate beginning at 5:45pm. Check-in station will be located on Main Street between Moore and Center avenues.

Live music

8:30 pm. Drivin N Cryin. BoatYard Lake Norman, 18418 Statesville Rd. Buy tickets in advance for $20  or on the day of show at the door for $25.

Casino Bowling Night

June 4: Casino Bowling Night at Victory Lanes

6:45pm. Victory Lanes, 125 Morlake Dr., Mooresville.   $20. Tickets required.  Music, bowling and prizes; adults only. Casino Bowling is a No-Tap format, meaning you only need to knock down 9-pins on your first ball to receive a strike. Check-in starts at 5:45 pm. 

June 5

Old and New Car Show

Free car show with kids activities and concessions. 8 am – noon. Peninsula Yacht Club, 18501 Harbor Light Blvd.

Downtown Mooresville Festival of Food Trucks

5-8:30 pm.  Portions of Main Street in Mooresville will be closed for each event, so bring a chair, hang out in the street and stay a while, listen to some music, stroll the streets and shop. Current Food Truck lineup (subject to change): Asian B on wheels, Hillbilly Philly and Pork & Pollo, Lobster Dogs, Mambos on Ruedas, OooWee BBQ, Sal’s Roadside Eatery, Skyview22 Food Truck, SOBER Mobile Bar, Taco Green-Go, The Laughing Onion, Wingz On Wheelz, Yummi Bahn Mi.

Cain Center for the Arts Tap Takeover 

June 5: The Trailblazers perform at Royal Bliss Brewing Co.

4–6 pm  at Royal Bliss Brewing Co., 7532 Royal Bliss Ct.. Denver. Band: The Trailblazers.

Concerts @ the Circles

Carolina Soul Band, R&B variety. 6-8 pm on Jetton Street in front of The Linden Apartments, Davidson.

Walk with a Doc

A program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. You’ll take a few minutes to learn about a current health topic from a Novant physician, then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and fun conversation. It’s a great way to get active, and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking.

Huntersville Growers’ Market

8 am to noon.  An outdoor, open air market, offering fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, dog treats, select craft items, free chef samples and more. Veterans Park, Main Street and Maxwell Street, Huntersville.

Live music

8 pm. Dirty Grass Soul. A mix of country, bluegrass, and southern rock & roll. BoatYard Lake Norman, 18418 Statesville Rd.   Buy tickets in advance for $10.

Davidson Farmers Market 

9 am -noon in downtown Davidson. This year’s 36 vendors include: fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy, freshly baked breads and artisanal baked goods, prepared foods, speciality culinary items, beverages, and health and beauty products.

Youth Orchestra Auditions 2021-22

Be Well Birkdale

June 8: Be Well Birkdale

6-7 pm. A workout class will be presented by various studios and instructors each week. Check in  across from Lululemon starting at 5:30 pm.

9 am – 1 pm at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center’s  front lot off Gilead Road.

Birkdale Buds

10:15 am-noon. Bring your pre-school aged little bud for playtime  in the Grove at  Birkdale Village, Huntersville. Check in across from TCBY starting at 10:15 am.  Crafts and activities will be available while supplies last. Bring your own blankets to sit on.

LaLaCaboosa – Downtown Music Series

Southern Style Band. 6-9 pm at Veterans Park, Main Street and Maxwell Street, Huntersville. Grab your lawn chairs, blankets.

Ladies Night Out

5-8 pm at Birkdale Village. Come for a stroll through Birkdale Village as you shop special retail deals, enter into giveaways and enjoy a fun night out with your girl squad. The first 20 women to check in at the Grove across from Starbucks will receive a swag bag. If you’re not among the first 20 to arrive, grab a strolling map  at check in that includes a raffle ticket to enter into giveaways.

Love, Loss and What I Wore

Presented by the  Davidson Community Players, Armour Street Theatre, 307 Armour St., Davidson. Tickets are $15-$25. Email boxoffice@davidsoncommunityplayers.org or call 704-892-7953. Explores the lives of women through 28 characters sharing their memories of love and loss as framed through the lens of the clothes they wore. Recommended ages 13 and older.
