JAMES

John “Ronnie” Rodney James, Sr. 66 of Huntersville died July 7 at CMC University. He was born on March 22, 1949 in Mecklenburg County to John Wesley and Ruby Hager James. He graduated from N. Mecklenburg Class of ’67.

Survivors include his wife Linda; son John Rodney James, Jr.; daughter Victoria Lynn James; and grandson Johnathon Tyler James, all of Huntersville. He was preceded in death by his sister Cynthia Louise James, father, James Welsey “Guy” James and mother, Ruby Lee Hager James.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 9 in the chapel of James Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Homesley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery-Huntersville.
