Dr. James Henry McCallum, Jr. 85 of Cornelius, formerly of Wilmington, NC died March 10, 2015. He was born on October 11, 1929 in Colerain, NC. He served in the US Navy and spent his career as a pediatrician in Williamston, NC. He then became Student Health Director and was on faculty of the Brody School of Medicine at E.C.U.

Survivors include his wife Fane McCallum; daughters, Lyn Honeycutt (Joe) of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Becky Taylor (Wayne) of Greenville, NC, Mary Joyce McCallum of Seattle, WA, Lauren McCall (Brian) of Simpsonville, SC and Kellen Mills (Brad) of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Scott, Kelly and Sarah and great-grandchild Zachary.

Memorials may be made to the Levine and Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr. Huntersville, NC 28078.

The service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00, Friday, March 13 at Cornelius Presbyterian Church with Reverends Lee and Heather Koontz and George Slaton officiating. Visitation will follow.
