Oct. 27. The Town of Cornelius collected grocery 247 items from staff and the community for Strike out Hunger Nov. 9 at BB&T Ballpark. All the Can Castle pictures will be judged at a networking event; the winner will receive $500 to donate to a Week to Fight Hunger Partner Agency and that will be matched by Publix for a total of $1,000.  Donations received through the canned food drive will benefit Loaves & Fishes and Salvation Army.
