Nov. 11. Three brews from Cornelius-based D9 Brewing Co. scored big in a couple of blind tasting competitions. D9 Brewing landed second and third place for two of its beers at the Great International Beer & Cider Competition. A D9 pumpkin brew was ranked sixth on Paste Magazine’s list of best pumpkin beers.
Their Viking Fraoch Scottish Sour placed second and Ezekiel 25:17 Black Sour placed third in the International competition. The competition had 680 beers and ciders from around the world.
Paste Magazine conducted a blind tasting of pumpkin beers from breweries. D9 Brewing’s Head of the Horseman Imperial Pumpkin was ranked sixth in the country. NoDa Brewing Co. in Charlotte came in at No. 18 on the list.
