Jan. 24. Join Mecklenburg County’s David B. Waymer Recreation Center and the Town of Huntersville Parks & Recreation Department every Monday during February to celebrate Black History Month.

The programs are free, and all ages are welcome to participate.

Noon and 5:30 pm | Feb. 6 – Showing of “Harriett” at 12 p.m. and “Soul” at 5:30 pm at Dellwood Center, 508 Dellwood Drive, Huntersville.

2:30 pm | Feb. 13 – Storybook reading by Charlotte Mecklenburg Library at Dellwood Center, 508 Dellwood Drive, Huntersville.

2:30 pm | Feb.20 – Special Performance by Drums 4 Life at David B. Waymer Recreation Center, 14008 Holbrooks Road, Huntersville.

2 pm | Feb. 27 – Black History Bingo/Trivia program at David B. Waymer Recreation Center, 14008 Holbrooks Road, Huntersville.
