Dec. 2. The 40th North Meck Holiday Parade will be held rain or shine tomorrow  in Davidson and Cornelius.

And rain is likely. 

The parade route will begin 1 pm on Main Street at Griffith Street in Davidson and will continue south on Hwy. 115 through Cornelius and will end at Hickory Street and Hwy. 115.  Here is a map of  road detours.

The roadway for the parade route will be closed from 12:30 pm until approximately 4 pm.

Catawba Avenue will be closed from Oak Street to Hwy. 115 and tractor trailers will not be permitted east of Hwy. 21 after 12:15 pm.

The neighborhood Antiquity will also have road closures at the Catawba Avenue entrance, Cornelius Police said.

Hickory Street and South Street will remain open for residents to access the community.

Inclement weather
