Sept. 22. The town’s new mini museum officially opened in Town Hall Monday night with a reception for The Conard Collection photograph exhibit. In addition to members of the Town Board—the meeting was last night—people like historian Marion Whisnant attended as well as Fran Conard, a member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jack Conard Jr., who lives on North Main Street, has taken a personal interest in preserving the history of Cornelius with photography. Regular exhibit hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm, Monday–Friday. The history room is on the ground floor of Town Hall.
