Nov. 14. Healthy Meck will sponsor a free, half-day advocacy training designed to empower local changemakers who are working to improve community health and wellbeing on Nov. 22. The event, titled “Advocate and Initiate – Training for Advocacy and Changemaking,” will be held at the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson from 9 am to 1 pm.
Participants will:
Build Advocacy skills: Learning how to articulate their mission and influence decision-makers in a way that resonates.
Develop Actionable Plans: Collaborating on strategies for community health initiatives that reflect the needs and voices of those they serve.
Build Confidence: Gaining the tools and support to engage with policymakers and advocate for the changes they envision.
