Growing after school program needs volunteers

June 25. Ada Jenkins Center’s LEARN Works program—the only free after-school academic program in North Meck—needs volunteers to help as the program grows.

LEARN Works currently serves local elementary school students (K-5th grade) who are behind their peers in reading.

LEARN Works provides:
Reading support
Career exploration, financial literacy, and other enrichment activities
Homework start assistance
Parent education
Access to other Ada Jenkins Center services and resources, as needed

Applications of Interest due June 30 are available at https://www.adajenkins.org/services/education/

The program runs daily Monday-Friday from mid-September to mid-May. Students are brought to the program every day by bus from our partner schools. Parents must pick up students at dismissal.
