Oct. 9. There will be a Girl Scouts Food Drive this Saturday from 9 am to 11 am at the corner of Jetton Road and Peninsula Club Drive North.

Donations benefit the Ada Jenkins Center, and all donations are appreciated, but no jars or glass. They will also accept cash or check donations (make checks out to “Meck 1 Girl Scouts”), and food will be purchased with that money.

Anyone who will not be home during the food drive is welcome to drop off food in advance. There is a bin on the front porch of 17935 Peninsula Club Drive North.

Girl Scouts Troops #2303 and #864 have a goal of collecting 1,000 pounds of food.
