A fund-raising event for Ashley Jones, a Cornelius mom who has been diagnosed with aggressive Stage 3 Breast Cancer, is Wednesday Oct. 28 at the Lake Norman Comedy Zone, starting at 8 pm. The show will feature award-winning stand-up comedian John Crist, who continues to gain momentum as one of America’s young rising stars of comedy.

Jones, a 35-year old single mother of a 1 1/2 year old child, faces an extremely tough road ahead as she receives her medical treatment, according to friend Nancy Smith. “She has two different kinds of cancer, which have to be treated separately, plus cancer in the lymph nodes behind her sternum. Her double mastectomy is scheduled for Nov. 3. If that’s not enough, she was recently laid off.”

Tickets for the benefit are $20 each or $500 for a table of ten.  Table sponsors receive reserved premium seating, verbal recognition at the show and company logo on the table.
