Foodie alert: Queen’s Feast Jan. 17-26

Jan. 6. Diners looking for some mid-winter excitement can capture sweet deals and foodie thrills during Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week Friday, Jan. 17, through Sunday, Jan. 26. Five restaurants from Cornelius, Huntersville and North Mecklenburg are participating.

More than 100 restaurants around the metro area will offer three-course dining deals, with prix fixe prices ranging from $30 to $50 per person.

North Mecklenburg restaurants:
Fin & Fino in Birkdale
Hunter House, Circa 1913
Kabuto Lake Norman Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar
Peninsula Prime Seafood & Steakhouse
Red Rocks Cafe in Birkdale

“It’s a perfect time for diners to put something new on their culinary plate,” said Bruce Hensley, a partner in Hensley Fontana Public Relations, which owns and operates the promotion. “Restaurants have the opportunity to show off what they’re all about, at a tasty savings to the customer.   1. The places that originated this concept out in the Midwest did it so much differently.
    Vendors prepared special “sample” sized tastes for the public to get a “taste” of the city. These samples went for $1-3!! Not a full fledged meal at full price!
    It was, and remains, a great way to find what restaurants you want to revisit!
