The Charlotte Symphony plays at Bailey Road Park June 22, followed by fireworks.

June 10. A local July 4 tradition—fireworks at The Peninsula Club—won’t be happening this year due to ongoing construction at the golf course down Jetton Road. Thousands of people typically attend the spectacular fireworks show, members and non-members alike.

There will be a great fireworks show June 22 at Bailey Road Park at the conclusion of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra performance in the bandshell. There will be patriotic, classical and pops performances weather permitting.

You’ll get a bang out of the fact that it’s all free.

The Peninsula Club is nearing the completion of an $18 million renovation.

No word yet on how sledding will be affected.
