Watch Me Dance – Chicago Stepping
7-8 pm Fridays through Dec. 26 at the Huntersville Arts & Cultural Center, 109 S. Old Statesville Rd. Purple Charlotte Steppers presents an interactive dance series that promotes social connectivity and health through movement. This series celebrates American style social dancing. Watch Me Dance highlights the American social dance styles birthed in African-American communities, including Chicago Stepping, Detroit Ballroom and Soul Line Dancing. This series is open to children 10 and older and adult children of all ages. This series features a new class customized for the visually impaired. Unplugged+Live Concert Series
5-8 pm at Veterans Park, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd., Huntersville. Register here. This touring concert series features live performances featuring local and touring talent, live DJs, & Food Trucks. Join us outdoors and socially-distanced.
9 am -noon in downtown Davidson. This year’s 36 vendors include: fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy, freshly baked breads and artisanal baked goods, prepared foods, speciality culinary items, beverages, and health and beauty products.
A program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. You’ll take a few minutes to learn about a current health topic from a Novant physician, then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and fun conversation. It’s a great way to get active, and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking.

5th Annual Gaga Ball Tournament
9 am at the Robbins Park gaga pit for a morning of friendly competition. Open to boys and girls ages 7-12. Age divisions and brackets will be created post-registration based on the ages of the registered participants. Advance registration is encouraged. Online registration is open through Friday, Aug. 13, at 4 pm.
9:30-11 am. The Cornelius Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with the Lake Norman Community Sailing Center to offer stand up paddleboarding lessons.$25 for Cornelius residents, $35 for others.

Miss May’s Elegant Tea
