Catawba Avenue
Feb. 24. Beginning at 9 am Thursday, Catawba Avenue in downtown Cornelius will be restricted to one lane from 9 am to 4 pm in the vicinity of the Cain Center for the Arts.
Eastbound traffic will be redirected to the westbound lane, while westbound traffic will be rerouted behind the live-work units just west of Town Hall.
Flaggers will be on-site to help guide motorists. The lane changes may last for up to two weeks. Neighbors this morning said westbound traffic was being redirected behind both live-work buildings, contrary to the image below, which was provided by the town.
