Jan. 4. The outdoor warning sirens around the McGuire Nuclear Station will be tested between 11 am and 1 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

There are 67 sirens within 10 miles of McGuire Nuclear Station.

Duke officials say the sirens will sound for five to 30 seconds, during the test which takes place in cooperation with emergency officials in Mecklenburg, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln and Catawba counties, who are responsible for sounding the sirens.
