Det. Brad Nichols has won the Cornelius Police Dept. “Employee of the Quarter” award for going above and beyond his duties as an officer and as a detective. Patrol officers routinely seek him out for assistance with cases; he has a vast knowledge of case law; and is always willing to share with others his opinions on cases.
According to a press release, when new officers come to Criminal Investigations as part of their training, Nichols works patiently with them and is a great mentor.
He also assisted in the memorializing of Cornelius Fallen Officer Ralph White.
He also worked a missing persons case locating a 17-year-old runaway in another state. “Det. Nichols is a kind and humble man who does not brag or boast about what he has done for the department.
He comes to work every day with a positive attitude, completing his duties with honesty and integrity,” the press release says.
