Photos and text by Dave Yochum. In Part 2 of our look at all things sculptural around Cornelius and Davidson, we focus on the outdoor art at Davidson College where the primary goal is to educate. Think of the campus as an outdoor classroom, with sculptural works giving lessons on literature, iconoclasm, totalitarianism—and still having a transcendent beauty and meditative quality. The collection has been acquired over time, with more recent works delving into new areas.
