March 22. The Town of Davidson invites the community to the grand opening of the new Davidson Town Hall and Community Center at 251 South St. on Saturday, March 25 from 11 am to 2 pm.
Mayor Rusty Knox will kick off the event in front of the newly renovated building at 11 am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Everyone is invited to gather on the front steps and in the areas in front of the building.
The program will continue in the auditorium where attendees will hear remarks from town leaders and watch a short video.
After, attendees can participate celebratory activities until 2 pm:
–Take a self-guided tour of the building, with a handy map and staff stationed throughout
–Enjoy food from local eateries
–Get photographed by Tap Snap with new Town Hall in the background
–View “History Wall” with photos, exhibits of building, architect, etc.
–Kids’ activity: paint a reclaimed tile from the old building to be displayed in the outside garden
—Donate items to the preserved classroom such as yearbooks, pictures, etc.
