A public meeting on the town’s bicycle master plan, will be held Thursday, Aug. 20 from 6-7:30 pm. The plan, officially called Bike!Cornelius, was launched earlier this year with the help of a grant from the state. The event Astarts with an open house, and concludes with public comment after a formal presentation. Alta Planning & Design, the cycling plan consultant, and town staff will be on hand. The town is developing a bicycle master plan to address bicycle transportation options such as bike lanes, bicycle paths and separated bikeways. The recommendations from this plan are intended to complement recommendations in the Town’s current Pedestrian Master Plan and the Comprehensive Parks and Greenways Master Plan.
