Nov. 4. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services coronavirus today reported 2,201 new cases of the coronavirus statewide, up from 1,777 new cases yesterday and 1,214 new cases the day before. Hospitalizations fell to 1,173 statewide today, from 1,194 yesterday.

Deaths

The NCDHHS also reported 20 new COVID-related deaths today.

Testing

The statewide positivity rate was 4.4 percent today, under the target goal of 5 percent.

Mecklenburg

In Mecklenburg County, there were 139 new cases an d one new death in today’s NCHDDS report.

North Mecklenburg (change from Wednesday)

• Cornelius: 1 new cases, 4,033 cumulative total, 31 deaths cumulative total.

• Davidson: 2 new cases, 2,347 cumulative total, 19 deaths cumulative total.

• Huntersville: 14 new cases, 8,833 cumulative total, 74 deaths cumulative total.
