Nov. 10. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services today reported 2,156 new cases of the coronavirus statewide. The statewide positive test rate was 5 percent, as per NCDHHS; for Mecklenburg County the 14-day positive test rate was 5.3 percent.
Hospitalizations
The NCDHHS reported statewide hospitalizations at 1,095 today, down from 1,097 yesterday.
Deaths
The NCDHHS today reported 35 new COVID-related deaths statewide.
Mecklenburg
In Mecklenburg County, there were 206 new cases reported, but no new deaths—the first time there have been no new deaths in more than 10 days.
During the week ended Nov. 3, an average of 5.5 percent of individuals who were tested in Mecklenburg County were positive for COVID-19. This represents a decrease trend over the last 14 days, according to the Mecklenburg County Health Dept. New data is expected later today.
North Mecklenburg (change from Tuesday)
• Cornelius: 5 new cases, 4,051 cumulative total, 31 deaths cumulative total.
• Davidson: 1 new case, 2,357 cumulative total, 19 deaths cumulative total.
• Huntersville: 9 new cases, 8,884 cumulative total, 74 deaths cumulative total.
