Sept. 16. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services is reporting 7,160 new cases of the coronavirus statewide, but the data for today are lower because of technical issues with the NC COVID reporting system.
That said, today’s volume of new cases are ahead of the numbers logged last week—an average of 5,260 during the four business days ended Sept. 10—but down from the 7,277 new cases reported yesterday.
Case and test data to be reported tomorrow will incorporate cases that were intended for today.
