Sept. 14. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services today reported 4,760 new cases of the coronavirus statewide, as well as 58 new deaths statewide. Hospitalizations rose to 3,690 statewide—higher than yesterday, but below the 3,800 figure recorded on Sept. 3.

A total of 427 North Carolinians were hospitalized due to COVID-19 on June 25.

Testing

Positive tests are running at 13 percent statewide.

Mecklenburg

In Mecklenburg County, there were 356 new cases from Monday to today. There were no new COVID deaths reported in the county.

North Mecklenburg (change from Monday)

Cornelius: 8 new cases, 3,673 cumulative total, 27 deaths cumulative total.

Davidson: 8 new cases, 2,133 cumulative total, 15 deaths cumulative total.

Huntersville: 13 new cases, 7,955 cumulative total, 60 deaths cumulative total.
