Sept. 13. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services reported 5,346 new cases of the coronavirus statewide as well as 172 new deaths since Friday’s report. Another one was in Huntersville.
There have been a total of 15,247 deaths statewide due to the pandemic; including 60 in Huntersville. The majority of deaths have occurred among the elderly.
Hospitalizations
Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 fell to 3,514 in today’s NCDHHS report, down from 3,756 on Friday.
Mecklenburg
In Mecklenburg County, there were 1,981 new cases from Friday’s report to today’s. County-wide, there were a 10 new COVID-related deaths, which includes the one in Huntersville reported today—there was another one reported on Friday last week.
North Mecklenburg (change from Friday)
Cornelius: 49 new cases, 3,665 cumulative total, 27 deaths total.
Davidson: 27 new cases, 2,125 cumulative total, 15 deaths total.
Huntersville: 127 new cases, 7,942 cumulative total, 60 deaths total.
