June 10. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services today reported 464 new COVID-19 cases statewide and 16 new deaths attributable to the coronavirus. The positive test rate fell to 1.8 percent statewide, a new low this year.
There were 48 new cases in Mecklenburg County, but, for the fourth day in a row, no new COVID deaths.
Hospitalizations are at 548 statewide, down from 554 yesterday.
North Mecklenburg (change from Wednesday to today)
Cornelius: 2 new cases, 2,877 cumulative; 25 deaths total.
Davidson: 0 new cases, 1,692 cumulative; 15 deaths total.
Huntersville: 0 new cases, 6,034 cumulative; 53 deaths total.
