July 6. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services Monday reported 231 new COVID-19 cases statewide. The first COVID death in North Mecklenburg since June 18 occurred over the holiday weekend in Cornelius, where there have been a total of 26 deaths attributable to the coronavirus.
Hospitalizations are at 388 statewide, according to NCDHHS.
Positive testing is at 4 percent statewide.
North Mecklenburg
Cornelius: 2,908 cumulative cases; 26 deaths total.
Davidson: 1,717 cumulative cases; 15 deaths total.
Huntersville: 6,122 cumulative cases; 54 deaths total.
