July 1. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services on Thursday reported 296 new COVID-19 cases statewide. There have been no new COVID deaths in Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville since June 18.

COVID hospitalizations statewide are at 396 statewide compared to 427 one week ago.

Positive testing is at 2 percent statewide.

In Mecklenburg County, there were 39 new coronavirus cases reported today..

North Mecklenburg (change from Wednesday to today)

Cornelius: 1 new cases, 2,899 cumulative; 25 deaths total.

Davidson: 2 new cases, 1,709 cumulative; 15 deaths total.

Huntersville: 1 new case, 6,108 cumulative; 54 deaths total.
