April 26. The NC Dept. of Health and Human Services today reported 1,334 new cases of COVID-19 statewide and 37 coronavirus deaths in North Carolina from Friday to today.

Hospitalizations

The NCDHHS today reported 1,067 people hospitalized statewide due to COVID-19, down from 1,145 on Friday and 1,096 exactly one week ago.

Deaths

In Mecklenburg County, there were no new deaths since Friday. There have been no new COVID deaths in Davidson since Feb. 12.

Testing

Positive tests are coming back at the rate of 6.5 percent statewide, 7 percent in Mecklenburg.

North Mecklenburg (change from Friday April 23)

Cornelius: 18 new cases, 2,823 cumulative, 25 deaths total.

Davidson: 12 new cases, 1,644 cumulative 15 deaths total.

Huntersville: 26 new cases, 5,807 cumulative, 48 deaths total.
