April 14. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services today reported 2,359 new cases of COVID-19 statewide, up from 1,364 new cases yesterday and 1,380 new cases on Wednesday a week ago.

The NCDHHS reported 1,045 people hospitalized due to the coronavirus, up from 1,032 yesterday and 1,025 one week ago.

Testing

The statewide positive test rate is at 7.6 percent in today’s report.

Deaths

There were 20 new deaths statewide in today’s report, for a total of 113 COVID-related deaths in one week.

Vaccinations

31.7 percent of North Carolinians have been partially vaccinated; 41.8 percent fully vaccinated.

Cornelius: 8 new cases, 2,767 cumulative; 24 deaths total.

Davidson: 3 new cases, 1,613 cumulative; 15 deaths total.

Huntersville: 11 new cases, 5,652 cumulative; 48 deaths total.
