Sept. 7. Town leaders are holding meetings to seek input on park and greenway needs.

A new comprehensive Parks and Greenways Master Plan will identify current and emerging needs and allow the town to refine and develop its parks and greenways to help meet those needs over the next several years.

Cornelius residents are invited to provide input on park and greenway needs at any of these six meetings at Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave.:

—Thursday, Oct. 5: Noon – 1 pm and  6:45 – 8 pm.

—Thursday, Nov. 2: Noon – 1p m and  6:45 – 8 pm.

Additionally, the new master plan will provide the town  a competitive advantage when applying for grants.
