Sept. 29. The Town of Cornelius will host a virtual “Connecting Cornelius” Zoom meeting with Mayor Woody Washam and various officials at 8:30 am Oct. 5. The meeting will begin with a COVID-19 update from Mecklenburg County Health Director Gibbie Harris and Town Manager Andrew Grant.

The highlight of the meeting will be a presentation on the new Housing Committee. Deputy Town Manager Wayne Herron will lead the discussion and share the history of housing in Cornelius, the committee’s charter, and plans for its inaugural meeting on Oct. 8.

The online meeting will conclude with a question and answer session. Cornelius residents and business owners are invited to attend the free event, and may submit questions in advance to TownofCornelius@Cornelius.org. To RSVP, click here.
