Aug. 1. Accuweather says it will be 93 today, so what better time than to stay inside and plan for the North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade and Christmas in Davidson?

—The 42nd Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, starting at 1 pm. The parade is a not-miss local event, complete with equestrian teams, fire trucks and Santa himself, half in Davidson and half in Cornelius where it ends near Town Hall.
