Aug. 9. The fall semester at Central Piedmont Community College gets under way this coming Monday, with 18,000 students enrolled—roughly 10 percent more than fall 2023.
Central Piedmont is the second-largest community college in North Carolina, spanning 4 million square feet across six campuses.
With more than 43,000 students enrolled across all programs, Central Piedmont Community College contributes $1 billion annually to the Mecklenburg County economy, an amount equal to 1 percent of the county’s gross regional product.
