The dunk tank is a CPD tradition at National Night Out

Aug. 1. Come out to Smithville Park this evening to have some fun with your neighbors during National Night Out. The Cornelius Police Department and Parks & Recreation, are holding the annual event at Smithville Park 5:30 to 7:30 pm Aug. 1.

There will be a demonstration of CPD’s K-9s, an opportunity to dunk-a-cop, and plenty of meet-and-greets with area law enforcement officials.

This free event will include hot dogs, Tenders, and Sunset Slush, as well as music and tons of activities for kids and their families to enjoy.

Bring school supplies to donate

Cornelius Police Department will also be collecting donations of school supplies for its annual Pack the Patrol Car drive.
