Jan. 19. Mecklenburg County wants to hear what residents think about spending, services and programs as the hard decisions about the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget are beginning to be made.
The county budget accounts for about two-thirds of your property taxes.
The survey takes minutes to complete and allows residents to convey their priorities, how they feel about the level of funding for services, and what they feel are the community’s greatest needs.
County Manager Dena R. Diorio is scheduled to present her budget recommendation on May 16. A public hearing is scheduled for May 23 with the Board adopting the budget on June 4.
