July7. The 19th annual Big Day at the Lake on July 22 still needs Boat Hosts. More than 150 Bigs and Littles are coming and organizers say they are short by about a dozen boats.

Big Day at the Lake is all about providing a day of fun for at-risk kids in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas. Children meet Boats Hosts where they choose, accompanied by a built-in chaperone—their Big Brother or Big Sister.

Morning fun on the lake is followed by a huge picnic at Duke Energy Explorium, after which it’s time to head home.
