Oct. 2. There will be a blessing of the animals service on the front lawn of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, weather permitting.
Blessing of the animals services are traditionally held on or near the beginning of October because of it corresponds to the Feast Day of St. Francis, who was known for his kindness to animals.
Everyone is welcome to bring any animals or pets to the service. They will be prayed over by the church pastors, from a social distance.
Even if you don’t have an animal , you are invited to come and give thanks that God’s kingdom extends over all of creation, including animals.
Please wear masks when appropriate.
