Nov. 11. Bike route improvements on Morehead Street in Charlotte, work zone management technology enhancements and driverless shuttles on campuses are among the preliminary recommendations from the “Beyond 77” transportation study commissioned by the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO).
“More than 25,000 residents weighed in on the Beyond 77 transportation study, and we are excited to unveil the recommendations to the public,” said Agustin Rodriguez, CRTPO project manager.
Input still needed
It’s not too late to submit suggestions. CRPTO will continue to accept ideas through January 2022. Go to www.Beyond77.com to provide input and review the draft recommendations.
“These tools will assist municipalities and elected leaders across the region to plan for the area’s projected 50 percent growth over the next 20 years,” said outgoing CRPTO Chairman Mike Miltich. “The sooner such planning occurs, the better, and it is best done regionally.”
