The wooden BBQ signs around town are a sure indication that fall has arrived and the Bethel Presbyterian Church annual BBQ —complete with a bake sale, quilt sale and silent auction—is just around the corner.
It’s this Thursday in fact. Barbecue meals will be available via drive-through or eat in, from 11 am through dinnertime. All proceeds go to Children’s Hope Alliance.
The BBQ is a Cornelius tradition which takes place at the church, 19920 Bethel Church Road. For questions or orders, email bbq@bethel-pc.org. The massive operation—planning for the next year begins almost as soon as it is over—attracts literally thousands of people to the historic church grounds.
The price is $9 for a plate or three sandwiches, or $12 for a pound of BBQ.
