Bernice “Elaine” Anthony, of Cornelius, NC passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Arthur W. Anthony; and son, John (USN).  She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Anthony Archer of Cornelius; grandchildren, Emily of Charlotte, Jay (Kimberly) of Santa Cruz, CA; four great grand-daughters, Eva, Sofia, Veronica, and Gabriela.

She traveled all over the world during husband’s military career. She worked for saddleback school district in Irvine, CA as a school psychologist. She loved and cared for animals, she worked tirelessly for Central Coast Animal Protection Society to help animals.

Elaine was a gentle, guiding mother who showed so much love to her family. She was very inspirational to everyone who knew her and always wanted to pay it forward. She will be missed dearly.

Arthur and Elaine will be interned together at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach, CA , January 23, 2017.  A celebration of life for Elaine will be held on March 14 in Newport Beach.
