John Hairston Jr.’s unique art exhibit, Native Tongues, explores the cultural heritage and personal archetypes. The artist’s rough strokes, brilliant use of color and symbolic throwbacks to his 80’s roots make reading the narratives in his paintings an enjoyable experience for people of all backgrounds. Native Tongues will be on display this week. A wine and cheese reception sponsored by Cornelius Today will be 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 13.
