Smith Circle home: Arson fire suspected

Nov. 11. A fire at a single-family home on Smith Circle late Wednesday night was intentionally started, according to Cornelius Police. A Cornelius Police officer was on routine patrol at 11:50 pm when he noticed a house and vehicle on fire.

The officer helped the residents and their two small children get out of the house located at 19627 Smith Circle.

Cornelius Police have a possible suspect in the case but the investigation is still on going.
