Jan. 27. Huntersville Parks & Recreation Department and the Mecklenburg County’s David B. Waymer Recreation Center will celebrate Black History Month with events on Mondays during the month of February.
Each Monday at 2 pm, a different Black History Program will be highlighted at the David B. Waymer Recreation Center, 14008 Holbrooks Rd., Huntersville.
The programs are free to attend. Attendees should pre-register by phone at 980-314-1127. All ages are welcome to join. Masks will be required indoors.
The program line up:
Feb. 7 – History Presentation by Community Leaders Bee Jay Caldwell & Varona Wynn.
Feb. 14 – Showing of “Hidden Figures” movie, with popcorn and candy selection.
Feb. 21 – Special Performance by Drums 4 Life.
Feb. 28 – Black History Bingo/Trivia.
