Absentee ballots can be mailed, starting this Friday

Sept. 3. This year’s general election is right around the corner: The portal and printable form for requesting an absentee ballot are now available on Vote.MeckNC.gov, with ballots to be mailed out beginning Sept. 6.

Early Voting

Early voting will be Oct. 17 through Nov. 2. The Board of Elections encourages voters to check their registration status before heading out to vote. And don’t forget—voters need a photo ID to vote in North Carolina elections. Most voters can use their driver’s licenses, but there are many types of accepted photo IDs.

Voters without an ID can still vote with a provisional ballot.
