Jan. 19. NC Rep. John Bradford, a former Cornelius Town Commissioner, and his family are in Washington, DC to attend President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The Cornelius resident and business owner will report on events in Washington over the next two days for Cornelius Today online and on social media. Follow Cornelius Today on Facebook and Twitter for live updates during the inauguration.
Bradford, wife Shea and their children arrived in our nation’s capital today. Right now they’re at the Lincoln Memorial waiting for a concert that features country music star Toby Keith.
The entire family will attend the inauguration mid-day tomorrow. Shea and John will attend the Presidential Inaugural Ball and the North Carolina Ball Saturday night.
Bradford, who was elected, Deputy Majority Whip in the NC House last week, also co-chairs the House Committee on Regulatory Reform and serves as the sole chair of the State and Local Government II Committee.
The Bradfords and the assembled multitudes watched live feed of Trump and Vice President-elected Mike Pence placing a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington, Va.
“The crowd went wild,” Bradford said.
More bulletins from Bradford will be posted on Cornelius Today social media.
