A great Cornelius tradition, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra performs June 25 at Bailey Road Park. The concerts is free and part of the Cornelius PARC Department’s year-long 20th anniversary celebration. Gates open at 6 pm with children’s activities and concessions. Beer and wine will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists. Journey Church will kick off the music at 6:45 pm, with the Charlotte Symphony following at 8:15. A fireworks show will immediately follow. Parking is available in the park, as well as at Bailey Middle and Hough High Schools, with free shuttle service beginning at 6. Coolers are welcome, but no glass containers or bottles, smoking, pets, tents or open flames.
